INTRODUCTION
The Kala Bear Wars is a great many things.
A new mythology.
A playground for the archetypes.
An adults children’s book.
The KBW project had its beginnings in a joke with a friend on facebook - “Do Not Kill All Humans”. My friend replied,“maybe some of them?” And so began a back and forth, with other friends joining in. Firstly, who would want to kill all humans? Well, Koalas might, for what we are doing to their habitat, their trees. Koalas are way too nice to kill all humans though, so that didn’t make sense. But what if a radical mutation of the Koalas took place? And they became, say, Kala Bears? And what if these Kala Bears had blue eyes and were as evil and dangerous as Koalas are gentle and nice? Ok then, so how did this mutation happen? Why did they turn evil? Are we safe? No. We are not safe. And that’s why Commander Winnie and the shape shifting Canines of Sirius have stepped in, to help us combat the growing Kala evil. With their arrival on the scene, the Kala Bear Wars kicked off in earnest.
Sirius is here because this is the time of the Great Transition, when Earth has a chance to finally shake off the darkness, to awaken to the true nature of the multidimensional cosmos and to take its place in the Great Integration. Well gosh. Who knew.
The Kala Bear Wars project evolved organically. It began with the little stories I posted on Facebook. Friends would join in with comments and those comments would often spark off new directions. Some of these friends then became characters themselves, with aka identities like Dog Girl, MC Tara and The Captain.
Other characters, like Silverfox and Winnie, simply wandered in from some mystical place, bypassed me and started speaking with their own voices, telling their own stories. I collected that material and with the help of Milinda of the Archive, edited it into this accessible book form.
With Book 1 completed the story continues in Book 2, a whole new adventure. Winnie and company have passed through an interdimensional wall, via a crop circle. KALA BEAR HISTORY:
Milinda of the Archive:
It is generally accepted now that the first Kala Bears arose in Kondanilla National park, Queensland, Australia, back in the 1970's. This also happens to be quite close to the home of our Comrade Neil aka The Watcher. It began as a feeling of unease among the Koala population. It was already apparent then that the Koalas of Australia were in trouble. Humans were haphazardly destroying the Koalas whole world, their trees. This unease spread through the group mind of the Koalas, as a general half formed feeling of resentment toward the human race. Around that same time there were a lot of hippies and surfers moving into the area, for the surf, the sun, and the beauty of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Kondanilla, with its hills and hidden valleys, became a favoured place for these folk to grow their marijuana. The Koalas saw this coming and going, and out of curiosity some of the young ones added the tasty resinous marijuana plant to their diet.Unfortunately the Koala brain was never meant to process cannabinoids, the psychoactive ingredients of marijuana. Their brain structure and behaviour went through a rapid and massive mutation. Their eyes turned blue. They developed human intelligence. Stupid and aggressive humans that is.
These poor Koalas became the first Kala Bears, not by choice, but because of Humans.
The mutated Kala Bears got together to see what they could do about the Human problem. At first they thought they could maybe scare people away from the bush. They took to dropping out of the trees and onto peoples heads, as their better known cousins the Drop Bears do. This is certainly scary, but rarely fatal. However, as the mutation of the Kala brain continued, they grew nasty. Scaring tourists was no longer enough for them. Folks began to disappear. Back packers would find pieces of people strewn along the paths.
The Kalas degenerated into an evil bunch of Al Qaeda style terrorists. They tapped into and aligned with the Dark Side, eventually summoning the Demon Lord GUteater who in turn, enslaved them. As their intelligence and wickedness grew they got better organised. They intimidated and beat up the Park Rangers. They stole and enslaved the local feral children. Soon large areas of Kondanilla became no go zones. The Kalas kidnapped some hippies and harnessed their dope growing skills, turning large areas of the park over to marijuana cultivation. They paid the police to turn a blind eye.
At the time, various bikie gangs were also growing in influence and a struggle began for domination of the Sunshine Coast. The Kalas backed the 'Rebels', and supplied them with cheap pounds for the local market. As the dope trade grew through the 80's and 90's the Kalas, with the Rebels, emerged on top of the local gangster heap. They set up methamphetamine labs in the park and established a clear heroin trail from Chiang Mai to Maleny.
They reinvested their profits, hired lawyers and accountants, paid off the cops and went national. They set up legal criminal corporations, bought politicians and went international. They now rival Zionists, ISIS and the CIA in international terror.
Things were going badly for Earth. Especially with the Great Transition approaching, the new era spoken of by the Mayans and numerous others.
The transition could go either way and the Kala Bears are hell bent on leading Planet Earth to the Dark Side. This is why the shape shifting folk of Sirius have got involved. My old comrades, Commander Winnie and Silverfox, along with countless covert and overt agents of Sirius now lead the struggle for the soul of planet Earth.
It is at Commander Winnies request that I am recording developments here at the Archive, under the title: Kala Bear Wars.

SIRIUS AND EARTH CANINES:
The Earthling Neil:
I have been asked by Commander Winnie to write a report for the KBW Archive files. He feels we need to clarify the relationship between the Canines of Earth and Sirius for the casual reader.Comrade Milinda (of the Archive) has suggested that before we begin the actual Kala Bear Wars story, it would be useful to share a little about the relationship between Sirius and Earth Canines. I concur.
On Earth, the canine connection with Sirius has been known for millennia. In the Americas alone, the names for Sirius include Wolf Star to the Pawnee, Dog Face to the Blackfoot and Moon Dog to the Inuit. Cultures around the world have similar names. For the Romans, Sirius was Little Dog, for the Chinese Celestial Wolf. In ancient Chaldea (Iraq) Sirius was the Dog Star That Leads, and Dog Star is now in common English usage from books to movies. The beings of Sirius are shape shifters.
They move between their chosen animal forms, mostly canine but also bears and seals, and their human(ish) forms. As humans they have the dexterity for the delicate work they carry out in their labs, science being a favourite pastime on Sirius, second only to Soma consumption. In fact, it's the marvellous marriage of health through healing science, and the joys of their various natural plant highs, that makes Sirius such a popular destination choice among those who can control their reincarnations.
Sirius has been active here on planet Earth for millennia, but there is still much confusion regarding who is an ordinary dog and who is a bodhisattva warrior from Sirius.
Things were much clearer in ancient times when for instance the jackal-headed Anubis and Set were gods familiar to every Egyptian. When the Greeks knew quite well that Leto, mother of Apollo, often took the form of a dog to hunt with her pack, and it was not unusual for a man to turn into a wolf at the sacrifice to Zeus. Romulus and Remus were of course suckled by a wolf, sacred to the Etruscans. The Aztec's had the hairless dog Xolotl to guide them through the underworld, Cerberus guarded the doors of hell, and no respectable god of the Vedas lacked a dog companion.
We hear in the Vedas that Indra told Dharmaraja: "Dogs aren't allowed in heaven".
Dharmaraja replied: "Fine, I'll stay out myself."
So Indra relented and Dharmaraja's dog transformed into Sarama, the Divine Bitch.
Dogs don't do so well in the Bible where they become "The Hounds of Hell" etc. We find 27 references and every one of them has dogs as unclean, representing low standing and wickedness. In the Book of Revelations, for instance, the Bible talks of the City of God. Inside "are the blessed" and outside "are the dogs". Metaphorical, but also literal as the bible says that animals don't have souls and so it would seem, no place in heaven. Such attitudes do not go down well on Sirius.
It should be noted though, that the above is old school thinking. It does not reflect the view of modern good hearted Christians who pray for and expect to reunite with their pets in heaven. After all, the prophet Isaiah says God will include animals in the new Heaven and Earth: "The wolf and the lamb will feed together."
Oh dear, speak of the devil - I have just had a message from Commander Winnie, who has evidently been following this intro on Crystal Net. "Neil, the point of the KBW Archive is so that information can be accessed in concise form by students of this period." He goes on to say my ramblings are "self-indulgent and wandering off topic".
Sorry folks, I get carried away. I'm meant to be talking about the difference between an Earth Canine and a Sirius Canine. The thing is you can't tell. Unless, of course, you hear your dog talking. That's a dead giveaway. Or you might spot him/her doing a shift to human form. You can be pretty sure you won't see this though unless she/he wants you to. The potential for confusion when people see a Sirius Shape Shifter shifting is too great. That's where all this crazy nonsense about werewolves comes from.
In these confusing modern times of ours, apart from the superstars like Silverfox and Green Dog, Sirius chooses to keep a low profile. To the unaware, the general agents of Sirius appear and behave like any other dog, attaching themselves to a human, or family, while they secretly carry out their mission on Earth. More and more people though are now waking up to the reality that something is going on, and sometimes a Sirius agent will choose to let their caregiver/owner know who they really are. Silverfox, for instance, uses me as a base and is quite open about who he really is.
In conclusion, in light of the above, Commander Winnie advises that people should treat their dogs, and all animals for that matter, with the greatest respect.
After all, you don't know just who you might be dealing with.

COSMOLOGY PART 1: Milinda of the Archive.
Canopus:
Canopus is a huge star with 60 times the diameter of Sol and 13,600 times the brightness. If it were placed where Sol is now it would extend three-quarters of the way to Mercury. It only appears less bright than Sirius, the next brightest star, because Sirius is much closer to Earth. From Earth, Canopus is 330 light years away, while Sirius is just 8.6.
The star's apparent distance from the sun, as well as its comparative brightness, means spacecraft can use it to regulate their attitude in orbit.
This brightness, compared to the star field around it, makes Canopus an appropriate anchor star for spacecraft to regulate their attitude in orbit. The mass of light energy it generates also makes it a suitable anchor for the consciousness aspect of the Milky Way. We shall return to this in Cosmology Part 2.
Sirius:
The brightest star in the night sky, it is almost twice as bright as Canopus. What the naked eye perceives as a single star is actually a binary star system; the main star called Sirius A, and a faint dwarf companion called Sirius B.
With two suns, the light on Sirius Home (the main inhabited planet of the system) is very different to light on Earth. Days and nights are roughly the same length on both planets, but the way they come about is very different.
From the perspective of Sirius Home, Sirius A rises first. Sunrise begins with a red glow, which moves through purple, till the morning is bathed in bright blue sunlight. The blue light comes about because the intensity of Sirius A is filtered through a layer of Neon and Argon in the upper atmosphere. This gas layer heats in the morning sun and glows blue. So Sirius Planet is brightly lit with a blueish tinge, for half the day.
Sirius A sets around midday, just as Sirius B is rising. Sirius B's own light is less intense than that of A, but this is increased as it also reflects the rays from the sinking Sirius A; like the moon reflects the rays of the sun on Earth; without the blue tinge that only occurs with the direct rays of Sirius A. The resulting afternoon light is soft and diffused, toning down the intensity of colours, painting the world in pastel shades.
The Sirius day ends with a slow fade, bleaching the evening light to a pale pink glow as Sirius B sets. Three small moons then take turns to give enough light for a stumbling walk through the night. Sirius is known colloquially as the "Dog Star", reflecting its prominence in its constellation, Canis Major (Greater Dog).
Sirius is identified as the ancestor Gneeanggar, the female wedge-tail eagle, by the Koori Mara people of South Eastern Australia. Waa the crow (Canopus) fell in love with Gneeanggar and carried her off to the sky where she became Sirius.
Argos(Earth):
Our planet Earth, as it is known on Sirius.
Argos (Earth), like Sirius, is overseen by the Bodhisattva Council of Canopus. In terms of civilisation Earth is younger than Sirius and so Sirius has taken a benevolent interest in Earth's development.
Note: As the 'Canopus In Argos' archive records both Sirius and Earth histories, and this chronicle will be read on both planets, we have chosen to keep the Sirius name for Earth - Argos - in our titles. The chronicle known as THE KALA BEAR WARS, however, is compiled mainly from the field reports of Earthlings, and these agents use the term Earth within their reports.

COSMOLOGY PART 2: Milinda of the Archive
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy - William Shakespeare.
We live in a multiverse. As humans, we see only what our human senses allow us to see. For example, take the matter of light. When light shines through a prism, it is broken apart into the colours of the visible light spectrum. Each colour has a different wavelength.
Red has the longest wavelength and violet the shortest. Beyond the Red, there's Infra Red. Beyond the Violet, there's Ultra Violet. These extensions are endless. With the right equipment, we can detect X-rays, Gamma Rays etc. Who knows what lies beyond our equipment's range?
Just so, there exists an infinite array of dimensions beyond the one we perceive. The Buddha and many other advanced meditators, with their increased consciousness and perfected clarity, have perceived and described these other realms, from the refined and rapturous to the hellish. They occupy the same space as we do, but are perceived differently.
The example is given; humans perceive a glass of water, an angel perceives blissful nectar, the thirst tormented hell being perceived puss and poison. We are all, in fact, looking at nothing but whizzing subatomic particles blinking in and out of existence. Even the notion of looking is an illusion, created by a jelly eyeball and custard brain. We label the dynamic fizz around us as this and that, but there's no intrinsic, predetermined thisness or thatness anywhere.
So, with this expanded view in mind, let's take another look at Canopus, Sirius and Argos (Earth).
CANOPUS:
Canopus, as described in part 1 of this introduction, is a gigantic star. It is also what is known as a 'pure land', a realm where the clear light consciousness of the enlightened mind can locate itself.
Perfected bodhisattvas, upon enlightenment, have the capacity to create a pure land where they can then abide. In these pure lands the enlightened ones are accessible via prayer and meditation, and from there they emanate in various forms to serve. For instance, Tushita Heaven was where the Buddha of this age, Siddhartha of the Sakya clan, resided before coming to Earth. To there he returned and from there he continues to emanate, in various forms, for the benefit of beings. Jesus Christ also came from and returned to Gods heavenly realm, there to dwell until the second coming.
The pure land of Canopus, though it exists within the fire of the star, is a paradise. It's simply a matter of some rearrangement at the sub-atomic level, coupled with perception, for fire to become paradise. This pure land is the creation of the Council of Bodhisattvas who represent the Milky Way. For Earth and Sirius, they are the guiding force that underlies the evolution of consciousness.
SIRIUS:
Sirius Home is a rock and sea planet, much like Earth. In some ways it can be described as a god realm, compared at least to troubled Earth, but the beings there are not gods. Commander Lord Winnie the Only does come close though.
The citizens of Sirius are more refined than those of Earth. They are natural meditators with numerous refined psychic abilities, like shape shifting and the freedom to enter other dimensions. Sirius folk typically have two forms they can shift between; one humanoid, and the other usually canine, bear or seal.
There is virtually no aggression on Sirius, though as is apparent with Commander Winnie and Silverfox, Sirian folk do love to fight. On Earth, to fight is a grim necessity. But on Sirius battle is a joyous romp and this love of fighting peaks each spring with the annual battle tournaments.
The idea of fighting as good hearted fun can be difficult for Earthlings to grasp, caught up as they are with aggression and self-aggrandisement. The closest equivalent idea on Earth is the chivalry of the early European knights, the code of the Japanese samurai, and the camaraderie of many modern martial artists.
ARGOS(Earth):
Argos and Sirius have an ancient connection. In fact, they share much of the original DNA from the far distant race that seeded both planets. Various agents of Sirius have been active on Earth since the early humans came down from the trees. In fact, Sirius had a big hand in that, as with the general evolution of humanity. Due to certain cosmic conditions, Sirius evolved at a faster rate than Earth, and so, like an elder sibling, it has been able to help Earth through some of it's more difficult transitions.
A great leap forward occurred on Earth some 10,000 years ago, marked by the passage of Niburu on its regular 5,000 year long elliptical orbit of the sun. The ice melted and the seas rose. Earth had evolved enough by then to take its place in the Great Integration and this long-awaited transition occasioned much celebration by civilised races throughout the Milky Way.
Unfortunately, that cosmic alignment slipped again some 5,000 ago, when Niburu last passed by Earth. Many of the earlier advances, like the spread of the crystal sciences and interdimensional clairvoyance, were consequently lost to Earthlings.
A realignment is expected with Nibiru's next and imminent passage. Already the effects of Nibiru's approach are being felt by sensitives. However, the rise on Earth of the kala bears, empowered by the demon lord GUteater, now threatens the realignment. This is why Sirius has involved itself in the Kala Bear Wars.
With that last decline, Earth became heavy and spiritually dense. Humanity lost its clarity. They replaced the growing planetary cooperation with localised hierarchy and proceeded down the paths of greed and domination by the powerful and cruel.
Though Earth's science is advanced it is not centred on the well-being of the planet. Instead, it serves the greed of the planetary power base, the ultra rich that awakening humans now call "The One Percent".
This is all due to change and the necessary transition would have been smooth if not for the rise of the kala bears and the evil forces they are channelling. The way the Great Transition now goes, and it could go badly, is heavily dependent on how Commander Winnie and the Allies proceed in these Kala Bear Wars.

COSMOLOGY: A Brief History of Civilisation - Lady Green Dog.

The last 5,000 years have seen the tide recede for planet Earth. Some like to think of the advancement in comfort, distraction and technology over this period as an advance in happiness, but this is not so.
In terms of satisfaction and well-being, the true measurements of happiness, humanity has reached it's lowest ebb since the rise of homo sapiens, some 200,000 years ago.
People tend to look back on the past as a time of brutality when men fought with clubs and swords. This is due to the past's depiction in movies and on the tele. But really, warfare in the past was a comparatively minor and localised affair. There was little to fight over, the world wide open and nature generous.
This all changed with the rise of civilisation, culminating in the last century with war and savagery beyond anything imagined in the past. The same men who fought with club and sword in ages gone, still fight today. But now they are joined by countless others with no reason to fight other than what they are compelled to believe by the rich and powerful. Today, those clubs and swords that seemed so brutal, are replaced with horrendous technology, and the slaughtered innocents far outweigh the combatants.
Folks also tend to believe that the basics of life are now secured, unlike the days when they endlessly roamed, hunting and gathering their food. But today 795,000,000 people will be lucky to eat at all. The hunter-gatherer was never as hungry, as miserable, as half the world today.
The rise of civilisation has come at an enormous cost. It was bought with slaughter, theft and slavery. The civilised life is measured in comfort and excess, but still today that comfort and excess only comes with the exploitation of millions upon millions of the driven poor, the third world. The 'developing world' as the first world now likes to call it, while they comfortably avert their eyes.
And yet, with all the problems that beset planet Earth, there is also an awakening now taking place. Ordinary folks around the world are seeing that the systems they live under are corrupt, and failing. They are no longer so easily fooled by the rich and powerful. With the new connectivity, ordinary folks are increasingly aware of the mess the world is in and who is at fault. And they care.
Niburu has always marked evolutionary periods of change on planet Earth. The imminent return of Niburu sees the turning of the "tide in the affairs of men", and the next great leap forward in human evolution. This is a big one, the awakening of planetary consciousness.
This is a transition that must be made by every advanced race in the cosmos when they reach the stage of development that the Earth now has. Failure to wake up at this point has seen the death of many civilisations out among the stars. Canopus still mourns the loss of Mars.
20,000 years ago Niburu kicked off, or coincided with, the rise of the individual self. (The mechanics of the coincidence that links Niburu's 5,000 year elliptical orbit of Sol, with the changing cycles of humanities evolution, are still beyond me.) The human ego began to individuate, to separate out from the shared group mind, from what Jung called the "Universal Unconscious". The human psyche split. From the previous immersion in the unconscious instinctual, as it is with animals, humans began to focus more and more on the conscious self-directed will of the individual.
This rise of the individual was recorded in the Old Testament as the legend of 'the fall' when Adam and Eve adopted free will. To call it a fall though is to completely twist the meaning, a fraud begun and perpetuated by priests.
The temptation of Eve by the serpent is a nonsense, a deliberate misconstruction of legends ancient before mankind began to even conceive the notion of One God over the many, some 15,000 years later.
The Old Testament compilers reconstructed those ancient stories of changing humanity. What the original allegorical tale; the serpent with the apple in the tree; was alluding to was the evolution of consciousness. This evolution in the focus of psychic energy is described in the Vedas, Earth's oldest spiritual writings. The various Veda texts precede the Old Testament by 3000 to 4000 years. The Vedas are the collected knowledge of yogis passed down word of mouth, guru to disciple, since those first days of awakening.
In the Vedas, the Tantras describe the energy of the soul (for want of a better word) as a serpent coiled around the base of the tree of life, the spine. The serpent dwells in the root chakra of instinct and sexuality. Once awakened the serpent begins it's rise up of the spine, the trunk of the tree of knowledge, energising the various chakras to finally arrive at the crown: Enlightenment.
The Old Testament compilers took this yogic reality and twisted it. While recognising the initial awakening from the instinctual as the gift of free will, Genesis called it the 'original sin'. They changed the instinctual, the serpent in the base chakra, into the personification of evil. They made biting into the fruit of the tree of knowledge a wicked thing. Not only that but they used the Garden of Eden story to blame and degrade the feminine, the Eros. This conveniently justified the rising domination by the Logos, the masculine. Thus began the male priesthood's habit of withholding knowledge in order to put itself between humanity and God.
15,000 years ago saw the first mass migrations of Sirius canines to Earth. Previously it had only been a select few Sirius agents who joined the wandering humans, assisting in the raising of consciousness and tool making. They encouraged Africa's wild dogs and Europe's wolves to join them in following the humans around.
Earth's anthropologists now call this period the domestication of wolves. It was, of course, the other way around because those first wolves were Sirians, and they began the domestication of humans.
'Two dogs for every tribe' said the Sirius brochures, offering travel, free food and an easy life for those couples interested in assisting humanity with their evolutionary climb. Thousands migrated with that first fleet, joining the roaming tribes of humans and raising their pups. Those pups, in turn, encouraged more and more of the local canines to join them in caring for humans, and Earth's canines have continued to look after humanity ever since.
10,000 years ago Niburu once again flew around Earth in its long elliptical orbit of Sol, linking the climate change that melted the ice with the beginning of history.
Again we find the Old Testament stories relevant to this period, although the timelines and the meaning are dreadfully confused. In Genesis, we hear that Cain slew Able. Cain and Able were the sons of Adam and Eve. Well, yes they were, but only if we understand the allegorical message. They weren't the literal sons of Adam and Eve and they didn't mate with their mother. They were the evolving progeny of humanity. Able represents the last of the hunter-gatherers, his way of life slain by his brother Able, the first farmer.
5,000 years ago Niburu returned, striking the death knoll to the clairvoyance of the now devolving consciousness of humanity. Animals, being closely attuned to nature, retain a form of the old clairvoyance but humans, in general, have lost it altogether. This dulling of the mind is due to reverse. The imminent Niburu flyby initiates the Great Transition, the signs of which are already evident.
In those days, 5000 years ago, the old religions that celebrated many gods, who understood Gaia (as mother nature), were in their final decline. The hierarchical male supplanted the old religions of nature and fertility with their lust for power and control.
The old ways were represented by the circle, the natural cycles of nature and women. The revolving orbs of sun and moon, the wheel of life and death, everywhere the circle was understood. From Gobekli Tepe to Stone Henge the circle was repeated in the temples of the people.
But 5,000 years ago the way of the circle, of unity, was replaced by the pyramid of hierarchy. This change manifested in both the monumental architecture of the built pyramids themselves, and the organisation of the society that allowed them to be built. The idea of the pyramid has been embedded in humanities consciousness ever since. The pyramids could only arise because humanity had replaced unity with hierarchy. In a pyramidal society, hierarchy reigns supreme. The mightiest of the power hungry sit at the top of the pyramid. Others can rise as high in the pyramid as their own ruthless ambition can force its way. The same still applies. Our politicians maintain a veneer of respectability and faux democracy, while underneath they ruthlessly bully their way up the ladder. They live by lies and manipulation backed by wealth. Without each of those factors, they will never reach the top. But the age of the pyramid is about to crumble. Niburu returns and the age of the web has dawned. The internet is the physical manifestation of the new age, but there is much more.
Humans all over the world are feeling something in the air. There's a rising awareness of patterns over the apparent chaos of random events. Increasingly, what was once seen as an odd coincidence, is now perceived as synchronicity. There's a sense of awakening, an increasing openness to the benevolent guiding force of the guru instinct. This, in turn, brings rising empathy and compassion, a pervasive sense of gratitude. This is not yet universal, but the awakening is rapidly spreading with the new connectivity.
Unfortunately, as this refinement continues, confusion (and anger) spreads among the ignorant. Many cling to their ignorance as it's own justification. The 'faith' of the hysterical religious, the proud stupidity of the bigot. We see this celebration of ignorance in the rise of tribal extremism within the Abrahamic religions, where the deluded carry out the work of the devil in God's name. This could not be clearer than when ISIS declares cruelty a spiritual quality, or when Americans trumpet racial bigotry as Christianity.
Our Saviour Jesus Christ and Mohamed (Peace and Blessings be upon him) are left to weep at what is being done in their name.
Everywhere now, the foul stench of corruption in those who control the existing power structures is leaking out. Sensing the change, the powerful are increasingly desperate to force it to their advantage. And as they thrash about the world prepares itself for a period of darkness and war.
Be assured though comrades, their time is almost done and the darkness will be short lived. As these power-crazed sociopaths naturally die off they will no longer be able to reincarnate within this realm. Their karma will lead them to darker dimensions better suited to their low state. In the grand scheme of things, it's not so long to wait for their passing. Your children will know a better world.
Meanwhile, with the rise of the internet and the ability of ordinary humans all around the world to directly communicate with each other, it is increasingly difficult for those in power to issue propaganda through the media they control. We, the people, are on the rise.
Those of you who have followed this chronicle know me as the Sirius agent Green Dog, and know that as Green Dog I write poetry, teach astronomy. As an astronomer, I have made a special study of Niburu and the long elliptical orbit that brings it back to loop around your sun every 5000 years. Nibiru's return is imminent and what is known as 'The Great Transition' has already begun. This is the transition predicted by the Maya, who knew all about Niburu. It is also referenced in the Old Testament. For those who are interested, you might want to look up Niburu in your Bible. I have done so but can make no sense whatsoever of what's there, and even less of the apocalyptic rantings of modern-day interpreters. Rest easy my dears, Niburu is not the home of Satan, nor is it on a collision course with God's good Earth. What is going to happen, is change beyond your wildest imaginings.
So, in summary my Earthling friends, rejoice, as we of Sirius rejoice for you.
The darkness is passing.
A golden age rises.

Original, witty and warm - this book is a delight. 5 Stars
One of the most original books I've read this year, Kala Bear Wars is on one level pure entertainment, and what entertainment! It has everything - warriors with wonderfully exciting action sequences that don't go on for too long, spies, talking animals, and a great story line. It's funny, it's heart-warming, and it's certain to be unlike anything you've ever read before.
There's more, though. There is a didactic element to this book. Although it's never 'preachy', except perhaps a tiny bit right at the end, we are treated along the way to glimpses of Buddhist spirituality, with links given for those who want to pursue this, and are given an empathic insight into the problems faced by addicts. None of this is at all obtrusive, and the book can be read as straight fun, yet along the way it carries its little payload of goodness and gentle warmth.

Kala Bear Wars: something for everybody. 4 stars.
This is a rollicking riot of a book, part dystopian future fairytale, part Buddhist parable, part multi-media, multi-voiced 21st century fable. There are talking koala bears, teleportation back and forward across time zones and a battered childhood teddy bear that comes back to life to make gnomic utterances.
There is plenty to delight in this book: the insertion of the voice of Nicki Minaj and other pop-culture references, for example, and the peculiar speech-cadences of different characters such as Winnie. Austin does this voice consistently and effectively. There are so many characters and so much action, that sometimes it's difficult to retain the plot, but these distinctive voices serve to remind the reader of who's talking and what their character and voice is like. Winnie talks like a surly teenage schoolboy: "you stink, you stoopid and old. he my fren so you shut up" (Winnie, p157) and this voice is easily recognizable and relatable.
Although KBW is essentially comedic, there are many profound passages which surprise and give food for thought:
Here, every creature that creeps and crawls, slithers and runs, swims and flies, every day and every night eats or is eaten by another. If they all screamed their pain and terror like the humans do this planet would be deafening. (Silverfox, p41).
Although KBW is essentially pop culture, there are peppered throughout some lovely poetic passages, such as:
Her song was a haunting mix of howl and melody. Crystal clear, her voice rose over the clearing, filling the valley, echoing back and forth. (p329).
Austin has inserted himself into the narrative as the character Neil, which is an effective way of having his own voice present without being the overarching narrator. Neil Austin has created a whole world in this book, in the manner of, say, the Mad Max film cycle. There may very well be future volumes set in this world.
There is certainly something in this book for everyone to enjoy.

Canine characters and the notions of good and evil brightened my days - 5 stars
Just received this book in the mail, but have read most of the contents on the very generous author's website...available to anyone. I will start by saying that I am NOT a reader of fantasy or scifi. My reading material is almost solely nonfiction, with no volumes of self-help in my collection. I am not a conspiracy theorist or a fan of conjecture of any sort. But I found this book incredibly charming, notably mythological and progressively self-helpful. Neil Austin's tales saw me through some of my darkest hours and his melding of childhood toys and literature, canine characters and the notions of good and evil brightened my days. Recommend to anyone!

REVIEWS: How to add a review.
As you probably already know, I have self published the Kala Bear Wars. Self publishing, thanks to the internet, has come a long way. It is now on an equal footing with traditional publishing, by which I mean the high quality of the finished product and it's availability to the book buying public. There is one big difference though.
If a traditional publisher takes on your book they will also look after its promotion and marketing. They will organise basic publicity and get your book into all the right places; virtual and actual bookshops.
Self publishing however, means authors must do this themselves. An author may have produced a fantastic book but if no one knows it even exists, it's dead in the water. So it's up to the author to reach out to the reader, to sell themselves and their book. This is a new world to me, so I've been educating myself on how it's done.
This website is one way to reach out. Facebook is another and as you probably know, the Kala Bear Wars has a public group and a page. The most powerful tool of them all though, as far as sales go, is reviews.
Reviews are the ultimate in grass roots word of mouth sharing. We've all enjoyed telling a friend how much we enjoyed, or perhaps hated, a book we've read. Reviews are simply that process extended.
In the light of the above, if you enjoyed your reading of the Kala Bear Wars, you could really do me a favour by adding a review. This doesn't have to be flash or clever, we're not at school here. A few lines or a few paragraphs is fine, entirely up to you.
